We have moved freight as Tradd Advisory Company since 2018. In October 2025 we launched our own authority, Scates Freight (MC #1754326), giving us the independence to price sharper, move faster, and make the right call for your freight in real time.After spending years at a mega-3PL, Stephen Scates wanted to start a practice that was more efficient, ethical, and cut out the politics that get in the way of the best possible customer experience.

Stephen Scates
Founder, Owner, CEO
Stephen entered the Logistics Industry in 2015, after graduating from the University of Georgia with a Degree in Finance. He worked with Kevin Nolan at NTG to cut his teeth and then worked as the Logistics Director for a Produce Brokerage out of Augusta, GA. Stephen started TAC in March of 2018, and has been focusing on major expansion since early 2024. In October 2025 he launched Scates Freight, the team's own operating authority (MC #1754326). “The vision is to take everything I have seen in this industry (the good and the bad), and optimize it for our clients, our carriers, and our employees. When it's a pleasure to do business on all of these levels, it seems that's when the most business comes”

Brigette was Tradd's first employee, joining in 2021. After a brief time away, she has returned to take on a senior leadership role, guiding customers through the move to Scates Freight's own authority and building the processes that keep service consistent as the team grows.
